If you are looking for a stunning waterfall that is easy to get to, Fall Creek Falls is the one for you!!
This waterfall is about fifty minutes from Idaho Falls and about an hour and ten minutes from Jackson, Wyoming, nestled in the Swan Valley.
This 60-foot cascading waterfall pours into the snake river with beauty and power.
The falls are located in Swan Valley, off Highway 27. You will turn off the highway onto Snake River Road.
On this road, there is a boat ramp (with bathrooms!!) that you could put in a kayak to paddle to the falls. There is only a fee to enter the falls area if you plan to park at the Spring Creek Boat Ramp.
As you continue down the road, you will follow the snake river for about 1.4 miles and go just past Fall Creek Road. There you will find pull-off spots to park your car.
It is just a short walk from this location to reach the top of the falls. All the trails at the top are not maintained marked trails, but you can find many paths that follow the rim of the waterfall that you can explore.
Viewing the waterfall from the top leaves you speechless. The views are incredible as you look at the gushing water and look up to see mountains and valleys in the distance.
Some people venture down the top of the waterfall to reach the base. Please use extreme caution if you choose to venture this way.
In the summertime, many people wade and relax in the refreshing waters.
Fall Creek Falls was a perfect place for a quick and beautiful adventure! The waters were powerful and stunning. We stayed at the falls for about thirty minutes, but you could easily spend half a day exploring the area.
Once you have completed your adventure, enjoy some ice cream at Sundaes Eats & Treats!
